Most of us have experienced it at one time or another – the dreaded vehicle recall. It’s usually some minor part, but replacing it ends up being a huge inconvenience for the car owner, even when replacement parts are free. Lexus certainly knows how to take the sting out of that. Although previous recalls had been addressed by sending technicians to the affected customers’ homes to fix the problem on the spot, when the Lexus ES 350 sedan was recalled in 2006, the company decided to ask owners to come on into the dealership. Instead of sitting in a waiting room waiting for their cars to be worked on, customers were given a brand new Lexus instead, no questions asked.
Beat each other with sticks; a ship battered by storm waves; buffeted him with her open palm; hammered his opponent with his fists; troops pounded by mortar fire; pummeled the bully soundly; dolphins thrashing the water with their tails.
The dynamic data framework includes extended versions of the GridView, DetailsView, ListView and FormView control to support easy building of data driven websites. These controls will use the templates available in the solution (Under FieldTemplates folder) to provide CRUD operations on the data fields. This template based approach gives us the greater flexibility to customize at field level. As you can see in the above figure, a Boolean.ascx will be used for bool data display and Boolean_Edit.ascx will be used for editing the field.
The solution includes a special folder called “DynamicData” that has some predefined files. Under this folder, there is a subfolder called “PageTemplates” which includes page templates for the different views[edit, insert, list, details] of the entities present in the data model. Once executed, the dynamic data website uses these template pages to present the data in list/edit/view and insert modes.
Thanks for such a great article. Everything mentioned is very helpful because it breaks the situation down and answers the questions people have to help answer this tough interview question. Until today, I did not know what the question meant and now that I know I am sure I will have a successful interview today. Thanks again, keep inspiring and motivating others.
This is so awesome. All along i have been answering this question by going through my resume no wonder i have not been successful. This is on spot. On Tuesday i will be doing an interview for a possible elevation at my place of word. Hoping for the best. Thanks for the great work
Many thanks for this great and far enriching discussion to this otherwise normally amorphous question. It has really given me a new insight and to be sincere, i have always been getting it wrong for so long
Unless you’re a former race car driver who jet sets all across the globe and only dates blindingly attractive people and spends your weekends curing cancer and saving babies, I’m going to have to say no…
I’d been interviewing for several months and couldn't understand why I wasn’t getting any offers, but after reading your guide, I went on my first interview with more confidence than you could possibly imagine and I got an offer."
"I am a person who likes to meet deadlines and deliver what I promise and sometimes I can get a little frustrated with my fellow co-workers if I'm waiting on them in the last hour before something is due."
Everyone works differently in an interview situation. Some find themselves blabbing on and on in a quest to avoid any awkward silences, while others turn to amateur dramatics in order to present an extremely confident versions of themselves (FYI neither of these techniques are particularly advisable).
